The Bridge Trust is a peer-to-peer initiative by UNITUS international students that works with refugee children and vulnerable people in the local community. The initiative prioritises inclusivity, accessibility, and a sense of belonging, with a particular focus on marginalised groups such as young people, refugees, asylum seekers, and people with disabilities. The Bridge Trust employs a variety of strategies, including advocacy, fundraising, engagement, and content creation. The Bridge Trust, promoted by Joshua Wishiye Kabelu, Prevail Adewale-Alfred, Natia Megrelishvili, and Astghik Aghababyan, is based in Viterbo, Italy. The organisation extends an open invitation to individuals interested in contributing to the creation of a more inclusive and compassionate society. Making a Difference This Christmas: Bridge Trust Supports Refugee Children

This past Christmas season, the Bridge Trust embarked on a heartwarming mission to bring joy to underprivileged children in our community. We focused our efforts on 19 refugee children in Viterbo, ranging from newborns (just 7 days old!) to teenagers (14 years old).

Through the incredible generosity of our donors, we were able to raise a significant amount of funds. This allowed us to purchase a variety of Christmas and New Year’s presents, specifically selecting educational and interactive toys and treats that would spark the children’s curiosity and imagination. More importantly, this initiative served as a powerful reminder of the importance of social responsibility. We all have the ability to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us, simply by showing empathy, love, and sharing our time and resources.
