The University of Bologna will hold the second seminar on 3 March 2025, from 15:00 to 17:00 (CEST), within the activities of the COSME project, entitled "Rifugiati, Sponsorizzazione Comunitaria e Diritto allo Studio. Riflessioni intorno al ruolo delle università" (in Italian language).
The event aims to understand the national and European challenges regarding the integration and inclusion of refugees in relation to complementary education pathways, exploiting the role of universities.
What is the specific role of universities in these programmes? What good practices are being adopted to ensure accessible, inclusive and work-oriented education? And what is the current trend among Italian universities that have promoted complementary higher education courses for refugees and their take-aways? After reconstructing the panorama at national level, the debate will focus on how the inclusion of this vulnerable category redefines the mission, pedagogical strategies and internal organisation of universities, also with reference to internships and post-graduate programmes.
