As part of the series "Dialoghi e Letture - 2024" organised by the CSER
Foundation, Matteo Sanfilippo, member of the CoSME project, moderated the
presentation of the book "Private Sponsorship of Refugees in Europe" by Dr.
Chiara Berneri, who discussed the contents of the book in an interview.
The Centro Studi Emigrazione - Roma (CSER) is a cultural institution founded
by the Missionaries of San Carlo (Scalabrini). CSER studies migration from
an interdisciplinary perspective, examining the sociological, demographic,
historical, economic, legal, ethical and religious aspects of human
mobility.
The book focuses on private sponsorship of refugees, a model that has
gradually increased opportunities for refugees to rebuild their lives in
Europe without exposing themselves or their families to the dangers of
perilous journeys.
