New Trends in Asylum and Migration Policy: Between Europeanization and Re-Nationalization

The 2025 Migration Conference of the Academy of Law and Migration (ADiM), organised with and co-funded by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on the integration of migrants in Europe (IntoME) and the PRIN 2022 projects:

  • Legal Pathways for Refugees in the Euro-Mediterranean Context: The Feasibility of Processing Asylum Claims outside the EU (EUROPATHWAYS)
  • Community Sponsorship for Migrants in Europe: CoSME

will take place from 28 to 30 May 2025 at the University of Tuscia and will be dedicated to the topic “New Trends in Asylum and Migration Policy: Between Europeanization and Re-Nationalization”.




Structure of the Conference

  • Day 1 (28 May, afternoon): Plenary session on “Protecting the Rights of Migrants and Refugees in Times of Crisis of the European Liberal Project”
  • Day 1 (28 May, afternoon): Presentation of Hiroshi Motomura’s forthcoming book on “Borders and Belonging. Toward a Fair Immigration Policy”
  • Day 2 (29 May, afternoon): Expert panel on “The New Pact on Migration and Asylum: Implementation and Enforcement Issues”
PARALLEL PANEL SESSIONS
